Velelu is a Rare Game enemy found in Nabreus Deadlands in Final Fantasy XII. It is an undead with a powerful sword as a rare drop.
Velelu will appear in The Fog Mutters in the Nabreus Deadlands if the HP of a party member drops below 20%. It usually spawns at the entrances to either The Slumbermead or Overlooking Eternity. Velelu can only be spawned once per visit to the Nabreus Deadlands.

Etymology[]
Vēler is a form of the Latin verb velo, meaning to veil, cover, or conceal. Velelu is encountered in a hidden foggy area of the Nabreus Deadlands only under specific conditions. Another possible reference is vėlė, a spirit of a dead human from Lithuanian mythology. These spirits were said to be transparent as fog, but smooth as wool to the touch. With death, the soul separates from the body and does not return to it. He does not die with his body, but he loses his individuality. The vėlė had to pass to the kingdom of vėlė.
