Sandstorm (砂塵の陣, Sajin no Jin?, lit. Sandstorm Battle Formation) is a White Magic spell that exclusively appears in Final Fantasy XI. It is an enhancing spell for Scholars that gives the earth-weather status to a targeted party member.
While this has no direct effect on the player, certain equipment is activated by weather as well as elemental magic. If the Scholar has the Stormsurge merit trait, this spell will also provide a VIT boost.

A sand storm or dust storm is a meteorological phenomenon common in arid and semi-arid regions. Dust storms arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from a dry surface.
