The Behemoth is a boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates. It is fought twice in Story Mode and once in Multiplayer Mode.

The Behemoth uses one of four attacks: if the player is standing either on top or to the right of it, it may attempt to do an earth pound attack, which will knock the player away. If the player is not in front or close to it, it will attempt to use a Fire spell. If the player is directly in front of it and far away, it will attack by using a laser which can inflict Stun. The Behemoth may also attempt to charge the player.
Strategy[]
It is highly recommended to have as many Thunder magicite as possible for the fight, as it is one of the quicker ways to knock the Behemoth on its back, at which point the player can jump on it to attack its weak point. At this time, it may also be beneficial to the player to use a Blizzard spell to inflict Freeze on the Behemoth, buying the player more time to attack its weak point. If the player does not have any Thunder magicite, they may opt to circle it and attack from behind, avoiding its ground pound and Fire spell.

Etymology[]
Behemoth is a beast mentioned in Job 40:15–24. In addition to mythological creatures, it is likened to dinosaurs, especially sauropods, as well as elephants, hippos, rhinos, and bison. Metaphorically, the term behemoth denotes "an extremely large or powerful entity".
