GIM47N is a Triple Triad card in Final Fantasy VIII used to play the minigame and for turning into items with Quezacotl's Card Mod. GIM47N is the fiftieth card in the inventory and the sixth Level 5 card.

Being a Level 5 card, the card values on the GIM47N are middling, but its value placements may be useful for games that use Same and/or Plus.

Obtain[]

The GIM47N enemy has a 3.5% chance to drop the card. Using the Card command on a GIM47N has a 93.7% chance to procure a GIM47N card when it succeeds.

Any AI Triple Triad player who uses Level 5 cards has a chance of using GIM47N in a play, from where the player can win it in a card match. Early such players are Trepie Groupie #1 in the Balamb Garden cafeteria, the man in charge of the Garden's entrance barriers, and Ma Dincht in Balamb Town.

Card Mod[]

An GIM47N card refines into 10 Fast Ammo with Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. Fast Ammo is used for Irvine's Shot. It is good to keep large quantities of Fast Ammo, as it is expended fast; with good Strength junctions on Irvine, Fast Ammo can be one of the better ammo to use in his Limit Break. However, there are more convenient ways to get it, such as making from Normal Ammo that is available in shops, and thus the player may want to prioritize other card offerings on the table.

In 1999, following the release of Final Fantasy VIII in Japan, Bandai produced a full set of collectible Triple Triad cards in Final Fantasy VIII Carddass Masters Perfect Visuals. The set was made up of the 110 cards as seen in the game along with 72 artwork cards and a collector's edition playing mat. The cards have a blue side and a red side. The cards have become a rare collector's item.
