The Lava Spider is a boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. Appearing as a large spider-like creature, the Lava Spider can be encountered at the peak of Fire Mountain as the sole boss of the entire dungeon. It may drop a scroll for the Spider Bow upon defeat. It is one of the few enemies in the game that cannot be picked up by the player at all.

The Lava Spider has a few nasty attacks which can inflict statuses, most notably Burn and Slow. The only attack that inflicts Slow is a web shot right at the player's location, while several attacks that cause Burn include aimed fireballs and the fire spin move used when compact.
When compact, it will attempt to roll at the player, which the player can use to their advantage by having the Lava Spider roll into a wall, which will stun it and allow the player to toss a water barrel on the fire on its head to put it out and allow them to attack the boss's weak spot. The Lava Spider can also use a claw attack that hits in a wide arc in front of it.
The boss is weak to Ice-elemental attacks due to being Fire-elemental, so using Blizzard is advised.
