The Knocker is an enemy in the Dawn of Souls and many succeeding versions of the original Final Fantasy, bar the Android version or Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. It alludes to the Final Fantasy III Goblin recolors. It is found in the deepest levels (B21 onwards) of the Whisperwind Cove.

Unlike other members of the Goblin family, they can be moderately dangerous when they appear in large groups, especially if the player's party explores the Whisperwind Cove at a level under 50.
Etymology[]
Knocker is a mythical creature in Welsh, Cornish and Devon folklore. They are the equivalent of Irish leprechauns and English and Scottish brownies. About two feet tall and grizzled, but not misshapen, they live beneath the ground.
