Behemoth is fought in the prologue of Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. Being the first boss, Behemoth is easy. The player should avoid its claw and front, and try to land a few sword attacks from behind for critical hits. When the Behemoth raises its tail, it is a sign that it will unleash a special attack. The player can quickly guard against his Gyro Tail or dodge. The player can heal with Potions when needed.

Etymology[]
Behemoth is a beast mentioned in Job 40:15–24. In addition to mythological creatures, it is likened to dinosaurs, especially sauropods, as well as elephants, hippos, rhinos, and bison. Metaphorically, the term behemoth denotes "an extremely large or powerful entity".
