The Garchimacera is an enemy in Final Fantasy XII found in the flooded Garamsythe Waterway. The player can find the low level version when they need to go through the waterway as part of the story. After the player moves on, the lower level Garchimacera can no longer be encountered, but the player can return to the waterway after acquiring the Sluice Gate Key to spawn the higher level version, although finding it can be tricky (see below).

Bestiary entry[]

Page 1: Observations[]

There was once an unenlightened age when all manner of maladies were believed to be the work of demons. It was customary in those days to place statues with terrible visages in the houses of curing so as to ward off these demons. Eventually, it came to pass that the people thought of the statues themselves as a sort of demon, and they feared them so much that the fear took shape, and the garchimacera was born: a foul simulacrum of the statues carved to keep such evil at bay.

How to find[]

Garchimacera will spawn in the No. 10 Channel when it is flooded. In the story, the party passes through the channel, but after that, getting Garchimaceras to appear becomes a little tricky. After obtaining the Sluice Key from the White Mousse hunt, the player can open the sluice gates 10 and 3. The player can enter Garamsythe Waterway from the Barheim Passage, or close the gate opposite of No. 10 Channel and take the long way around.
