The Freelancer is a crown in Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. It is the default job class, available from the beginning.
The Freelancer's special ability allows the player to keep their Gems even after the party is knocked out. The Freelancer crown cannot be upgraded and cannot learn abilities, so the only benefit of bringing one into battle is if the player's party is wiped out.
The Freelancer has low stat multipliers and no proficiency with any weapon. They are somewhat useful in the beginning, but as new jobs become available it is recommended to stop using this crown. The Freelancer is the only job that lacks crown armor.
