Faerie (フェアリー, Fearī?), also known as Fairy, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series. Appearing as enemies, summoned monsters, or sometimes just NPCs, they are small fey creatures associated with healing and protection.

Final Fantasy[]
A Bottled Faerie can be purchased from the Caravan. The party can then bring the bottle to Gaia and release the faerie within. The faerie will reward the party with Oxyale, which is needed to explore the Sunken Shrine.
Final Fantasy III[]
Fairies (ようせい, Yousei?) are a race that inhabit an area they call the Living Woods under the Elder Tree. After the Warriors of the Light battles Hein and restores Hein's Castle to its proper form as the Elder Tree, the fairies thank them and give Luneth the Fang of Wind as a gift.
Final Fantasy XI[]

During the Crystal War, a freelance pixie named Titania fought alongside her nine summoned Faeries to aid the Allied Forces of Altana. Although Faerie cannot be summoned by players, Titania's Faeries cast healing magic on both players and allied NPC soldiers during Campaign Battles, an allusion to Faerie's role as a healing summon in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Fairy was also the name of a Final Fantasy XI server, which was shut down on March 22nd, 2010.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Two faeries, Eos and Selene, appear as familiars for the Scholar job, and aid their summoners with their healing and defensive magic. Faeries served as the companions to the Scholars of Nym, before their civilization became afflicted with a horrible plague that turned them into tonberries, and their society fell apart.
Faerie is also the name of a server on the Aether data center.
Final Fantasy Tactics[]
Faerie appears as a summon. When summoned it uses Fey Light, healing allies within its range of effect. This summon is stronger than Moogle and has a larger area of effect. It costs 28 MP to cast, has a speed of 25, and requires 460 JP to learn.

The Fairy is an enemy encountered in Edo, Edo Castle, and the Harbor. It is also a potential transformation for monster units.

Final Fantasy Dimensions II[]
Fairy appears as an obtainable summon signet. Two versions of the summon exist, one that teaches Heal abilities to Jornee, and another that teaches Faerie Dance abilities to Maina.
In the original free-to-play versions, both versions of Fairy could only be obtained through the summon drawing shop.

A fairy is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural.
