The Mace in Final Fantasy XII.

Maces (メイス, Meisu?) are a recurring weapon type in the Final Fantasy series. They are large club-like items, and may sometimes come under the description of staves or flails. They are often enchanted with magical properties.

The Seraphim's Mace is classified as a staff and appears in the Finest Fantasy for Advance and later versions. It equippable by Porom and is her second-strongest weapon. The Seraphim's Mace casts Esuna when used as an item.

Terra, Celes, Strago, Relm, and Gogo, can equip maces, but Umaro is the only one who can equip the Bone Club.

Maces are long ranged weapons.

The Mace of Zeus is Vivi's ultimate weapon. It teaches him the ultimate black magic spell: Doomsday.

Maces are a type of club weapon, generally only usable by White Mages, Warriors, Paladins, and Geomancers. They are more well-rounded than crude clubs, but are not as hard hitting as hammers.

The Doom Mace.

Maces are one-handed weapons whose attack power is affected by the user's Magick Power, making them ideal weapons for magick users. They add +4 to Evasion.

In the Zodiac versions, maces are Red Battlemages primary weapon.

The damage formula for maces is:

Damage depends on the weapon, the user's Magick Power and character level. The characters' stats can vary by up to 30%, but Magick varies 20%, with the highest Magick characters being Ashe, Penelo and Vaan.

Cudgels and scepters appear as One-handed Thaumaturge's Arm One-handed Thaumaturge's Arms, useable by Thaumaturge Thaumaturges and Black Mage Black Mages, and can be used alongside a Shield Shield. Such items stop appearing after level 50, making them early-game weapons only, through characters may glamour the cudgels onto Two-handed Thaumaturge's Arm Two-handed Thaumaturge's Arms to retain their unique appearance should they choose.

Final Fantasy XV[]

The Mace of the Fierce is a royal arm Noctis can wield. It is slow and not particularly powerful, but is good for breaking off enemy appendages.

The Morning Star.

Maces are classified as flails and are notable for their extreme damage range, and attacking with them may result in impressive damage or next to none at all.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance[]

The Energy Mace.

Maces are used by the nu mou Sage and Alchemist job classes. It is best to buy them in the nu mou city of Cadoan.

The Lotus Mace.

Maces are equippable by Sages and Alchemists as well as Green Mages.
