Swordshower (煌めきの剣雨? or 煌きの剣雨, Kirameki no Kenu?, lit. Glimmering Sword Rain) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability used exclusively by Onion Knight.

Appearances[]

Dissidia Final Fantasy[]

Swordshower is a ground physical Bravery to HP attack for Onion Knight, learned after learning the ability Multi-Hit. It requires 40 CP to equip (20 when mastered), 300 AP to master, and induces Wall Rush. Onion Knight summon swords of light to bombard the opponent, then jumps and slashes them. If the opponent somehow evades the attack, the swords will re-target them and the Onion Knight will still dive towards them.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Swordshower returns as a Bravery to HP attack for Onion Knight, now requiring 30 CP to equip (15 when mastered) and 160 AP to master. It is otherwise identical to its previous incarnation.

Etymology[]

A sword is a blade weapon used primarily for cutting or thrusting. The precise definition of the term varies with the historical epoch or the geographical region under consideration. A sword in the most narrow sense consists of a straight blade with two edges and a hilt. However, in nearly every case, the term may also be used to refer to weapons with a single edge (backsword).
