Laguna is the Romanian, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Tagalog, Spanish and Portuguese word for "lagoon", a shallow body of salt water separated from larger seas by small sandbanks or coral reefs. Additionally, Laguna is a Spanish term for a "mental blackout"; periods where one loses consciousness and is unable to remember what happened during that time when one wakes up. In Basque, laguna means "the friend".
