Esper Caves

The Esper Caves, also known as Espers' Gathering Place, is a location in the game Final Fantasy VI. It only appears in the World of Balance. This is where Yura and the band of Espers which attacked Vector come to rest and regroup. Terra, Locke, and Strago came to this place to look for them. However, Relm, Strago's granddaughter, followed them there. The trio came across a monument to the three goddesses who started the War of the Magi, and learned about the Statues they are encased in and how the Statues keep the world in balance. However, Ultros shows up and learns about them, too, knowing that he needed to keep the information secret from Siegfried. Terra, Locke, and Strago fought him, during which time Relm caught up with them. Relm asked Ultros if he could pose for a portrait, but the thought disgusted Ultros. After threats from Terra and Locke, he agreed. Relm's painting made Ultros run away again, and Relm joined. The four then headed to where the Espers were, and they then backed away in fear. However, Yura sensed that Terra was not dangerous, and Terra convinced him to come to Thamasa to meet General Leo Cristophe.
