Epiolnis, also known as Epiornis, is a recurring enemy in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, a bird like creature with forearms.

Epiolnis is an enemy from Final Fantasy VII. Its attacks and HP are very weak for the point in the game it is fought at, and it can be killed easily. It drops rare Wizard Bracelets, and is the only source of them once Mideel is destroyed.

The Epiornis and other creatures of the same genus sport strong kicks and bites, so it's good to keep distance away from it. Magic attack will be the most effective way to achieve quick victory. If you do not want to use magic, a few Assault Twisters from behind will suffice. Other enemies of this type include:

Though its short range attacks are very powerful, Epiolnis has no long range moves, so fighting it at a distance is recommended. Its weak point is in its head.
