En-Spell is a type of White Magic spell available exclusively to Red Mages in Final Fantasy XI. Enspell will grant a status effect for about two and a half minutes. During this time the player's physical attacks may do additional elemental damage based on the type of En-spell used. The spells are all aligned with one of the six terrestrial elements: En-stone, En-fire, En-thunder, En-water, En-aero, and En-blizzard. The damage dealt is dependent upon the caster's Enhancing Magic skill versus the enemy's magical defense and elemental resistance. In this manner, you would expect that an Earth-elemental would take very little or no damage from Enstone, its native element, or Enfire, the element against which Stone is strong, but take higher damage from Enwind, the element against which Stone is weak.
