Enfire (エンファイア, Enfaia^?) is a recurring status effect. Units under the Enfire status will gain a Fire-elemental physical attack.

Final Fantasy XIEdit

Enfire grants a character's auto-attack additional Fire-elemental damage on hit. The spell can be learned by Red Mages at level 24. A similar spell, Enfire II, deals increased fire damage, but also causes the fire damage to only be added to the first attack.

Final Fantasy XIIIEdit

Enfire is exclusive to player characters, and is only able to be inflicted by the Enfire ability.

It adds the Fire-elemental property to physical attacks, and is thus particularly valuable against enemies that are weak to the element but strong against magical attacks.

Ravager party members with Enspell status will do additional damage to all enemies within a short radius, similar to Blitz, Fira, etc, when they perform the corresponding element of Strike.
