Empathy is a merit trait for Dragoons in Final Fantasy XI. It allows most beneficial statuses to be passed to a Wyvern when Spirit Link is used. The merit can be taken 3 times, each time one positive status effect will be transferred to the wyvern. It is a group 2 merit point, so initially it would cost 3 merit points, then 4 for the second point, and 5 for the last. This will remain active so long as the Dragoon remains level 75 and remains outside of zones and events with a level cap.
