An Elementalist from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

The Elementalist (精霊使い, Seireitsukai?, lit. Spirit User) is a recurring job in the Final Fantasy series, and one of the many classes that had their debut in the Tactics Advance series. Like their name shows, they use the powers of the elements in battle.

AppearancesEdit

Final Fantasy Tactics AdvanceEdit

TA

Available to the viera after mastering one Fencer ability and one White Mage Ability, this class wields rapiers and harnesses the power of nature into elemental attacks.

The Elementalist skillset, Spirit Magic, consists mostly of spells that have a range of three tiles, deal elemental damage, and inflict a negative status ailment. Their most advanced ability, Elementalshift, randomly changes the target's elemental resistance. When played correctly, Elementalists can exploit their adversaries' innate weaknesses with a versatile set of elemental magic.

Elementalists use the power of the four classical elements—Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind—and a final element that represents spirituality.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the RiftEdit

TA2

Elementalists remain mostly the same, but they lose the Elementalshift ability from the previous game. However, they gain a new Lightning-elemental spell.
