Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Template:Sideicon Elementaga is one of the strongest spells in in the game. It can be obtained as a guaranteed drop from the final boss on Hard Mode only. Just like other fourth-tier spells, the less HP Lightning has, the more powerful this attack becomes.

Unlike normal spells in which damage output is based on Lightning's Magic, Elementaga's spell power is determined by 3 factors:

  • Lightning's current HP versus max HP.
  • Enemy's element resistance.
  • Spell's damage modifier (10.00-60.00).

In order to utilize Elementaga's full potential, it's best to boost Lightning's HP as much as possible through the use of a Head Accessory to widen the difference in HP's pool. During battle, the player should inflict Imperil on enemy to lower their element resistance. Equipping Sniper's Gloves and Enlister's Gloves on schemata's Arm Accessory are recommended to leverage the 20% bonus damage based on any distance between Lightning and enemy.

Other damage modifiers like perfect timing and garb's passive ability such as Sweet Spot (Danse Macabre) and Strike Back (Déjà Vu) can further augment the damage output of the spell. Elemental enhancement will increase the damage if the targeted enemy/enemies are weak to specific element by default or through stagger.
