Lake Tepokalipuka
Edit

Added by SpiraThis lake, settled into a corner on the west side of East Sarutabaruta, holds rare fish for the intrepid fisherman willing to seek them out. The lake additionally boasts a small patch of land at its center, though the player cannot ford the lake to reach it.
Nompipi River
Edit

Added by SpiraNompipi is the southern river of the two that flow through East Sarutabaruta. In addition to the normal benefits a river would bestow, such as water and fish, the Nompipi serves as a sort of natural barrier; beyond its waters lie tougher monsters than can be found in the region closest to Windurst. As such, adventurers should take care when fording the river to avoid becoming overwhelmed.
During the Sunbreeze Festival, adventurers can flock here to try their hand at Goldfish Scooping.
Zanbibi River
Edit

Added by SpiraZanbibi is the northern river of the two running through East Sarutabaruta. The river provides good fish, and additionally serves as a reminder of the ridge that runs along the river's north side; the player must follow the flow back to the mouth of both rivers in order to ascend the ridge from East Sarutabaruta. The crab NM Duke Decapod can often be found in the northern section of the Zanbibi River.
Pamtam Straits
Edit

Added by SpiraThe waters of the Pamtam Straits run to the south of Sarutabaruta and Windurst, and a small cliff face on East Sarutabaruta's south end overlooks its waters. This area makes a nice, secluded spot for some peaceful sea fishing.
Stone Monument
Edit

Added by Spira- Position: (K-6)
A stone monument sits near the base of the Zanbibi river, inscribed by Enid Ironheart, the daughter of Gwynham Ironheart. The player must make a copy of the monument's inscription using clay and take it to Abelard in Selbina, along with the rest of the inscriptions of the monuments across the land, in order to obtain a map of the Crawlers' Nest. The monument reads:
- "It is clear from my research that, in addition to the endearing Tarutaru and the unsophisticated Mithra, a third race once lived here on the plains of Sarutabaruta.
The ancient towers that the Tarutaru call the "Horutoto Ruins" look to have been made for people their size, but there are peculiar differences in design and style.
Indeed, they closely resemble the "The Tower Like a Hand" in a sketch my father Gwynham once sent me.
Yet the tower he saw was in Valdeaunia in the north of Quon, a great distance from its counterparts here. Clearly, an advanced civilization once covered this world.
I believe I can still hear its echoes in Vana'diel today. or perhaps it is just my imagination running wild." - —Enid Ironheart, 777 Crystal Era
Planar Rift
Edit

Added by Spira- Position: (G-11), (H-6), (J-5)
These mysterious rifts are disturbances in the fabric of time and space. It is from here that extradimensional invaders of unknown origin, collectively known as "Voidwalkers", breach into Vana'diel. To stem the tide of invasion, adventurers may volunteer themselves in Voidwatch operations to dispatch these intruders at the source. The fiend Rw Nw Prt M Hrw can be found at the Planar Rifts here.
