The Drakan is a flying demon in Final Fantasy IX found in the Desert Palace. Its Japanese name is Squidraken. They rely heavily on inflicting the party with status effects, so it is recommended that at least one member of the party enters the fight with the Body Temp and Antibody abilities. Drakan is easily killed by Quina's LV5 Death Blue Magic ability.

Mind Blast can devastate the entire party if not prepared for them, especially if they come in pairs.
