In the NES and Origins releases, it inflicts between 40 and 160 damage, while in subsequent releases it inflicts damage depending on the caster's Intelligence.

EtymologyEdit

"Dia" and "Día" mean "day" in Portuguese and Spanish.

In ancient Greek religion and folklore, Dia means "heavenly," "divine," or "she who belongs to Zeus." The name is actually attributed to several figures thus is treated like an honorific or title.

-Ra suffix is added to Level 2 spells in the series.
