Final Fantasy IX Edit

IX Diamond is an item and an add-on, and can be obtained by finding it by talking to Kirkboat in Conde Petie and in the Sea at Dusk Chocograph, by buying it from Stiltzkin at Bran Bal, or by giving a friendly Garuda a Lapis Lazuli. It teaches the support abilities Body Temp and Distract, and when used as an item, restores HP equal to the amount of Diamonds in the player's inventory x36. While Eiko Carol is equipped with a Diamond, Carbuncle uses the ability Diamond Light granting Vanish on the player party.

Etymology Edit

In mineralogy, diamond is a metastable allotrope of carbon, where the carbon atoms are arranged in a variation of the face-centered cubic crystal structure called a diamond lattice. Diamond is the birthstone for April.
