As with most enemies on Mt. Zozo, it has high Evade to physical attacks, so it is advisable for the player to use magic against it. It absorbs Poison but has no weaknesses, so as long as the player does not use Bio, any other level two spell will work. Unblockable attacks like Tools and Blitzes can be used to bypass the Devil Fist's evasion.
