Template:Sideicon Template:IncompleteTable Despair is a boss in Final Fantasy Dimensions and the first of the Blades of Nil to be faced. It is found within the World of Despair through the Dark Gate. It terrorizes the people of Castle Lux by robbing them of their hope.
The party encounters the creature who explains its nature as one of the Blades of Nil. The party battles the monster and emerges victorious, restoring hope to the land.

Despair is mostly an annoying enemy to fight. While not difficult it sports high defenses and inflicts status ailments on the party. It uses Caustic Spittle to damage and inflict Slow on the party, Sandstorm for Poison. It eventually uses Quake and Flare as its strongest attacks but are easily managed through Shell and Curaga.
All in all it is an unremarkable foe. The player only needs to use its strongest attacks and heal occasionally and the beast will fall without much problem.

Despair is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being.
