Lightning can inflict opponents with Deprotect with the Deprotect and Deprotectga spells. She can increase the status's duration with auto-abilities and by synthesizing the spells and leveling them up in Sorcery Shops. Targets afflicted with Deprotect have their defense lowered and may become susceptible to being knocked back by powerful attacks. When Oerba Yun Fang is in the party, she will use Deprotect Hunter against targets afflicted with Deprotect dealing increased damage to them.

The status will eventually expire, but if afflicted, Lightning can heal it via Remedy or Mega Remedy.
