Demon Eye (あくまのひとみ (悪魔の瞳), Akuma no Hitomi?), also called Devil's Bell, is a recurring ability in the series. It is usually the signature attack of Catoblepas, and attempts to inflict Petrify on one or all enemies.

Final Fantasy IIIEdit

Demon Eye is the level 1 ability of Leviathan in the 3D version, which attempts to inflict Petrify on all enemies at a 5% chance and is Earth-elemental.

Final Fantasy VEdit

Demon Eye is the ability of Catoblepas, which attempts to inflict Petrify on one enemy at the cost of 33 MP. It is also used as an enemy ability by Achelon, Catastrophe, Catoblepas, Grand Aevis, Medusa, Orukat, Shinryu, and Enuo.

Final Fantasy VIEdit

Demon Eye is the ability of Catoblepas, which attempts to inflict Petrify on all enemies at the cost of 45 MP.

Final Fantasy IXEdit

Devil's Bell can inflict Petrify to one target, the ability is exclusive to Catoblepas.
