It is a very dangerous enemy, and uses various Death attacks, such as the Death spell, Blaster, and Lv. 5 Death, which it casts at the beginning of every battle. Their special attack Mind Stop inflicts Stop, and when followed by Blaster, it's guaranteed to KO the afflicted party member. Like most machines, it is weak to Lightning and Water, so Thundaga spells are most effective against it.

Coliseum setupEdit

Bet Holy Lance for Murakumo
Bet Lich Ring for Ward Bangle
Bet Regal Gown for Minerva Bustier

The Death Machine can be fought in Dragon's Neck Coliseum by betting a Regal Gown. Their Death attacks can instantly end the battle, but an easy way to win is to equip the character with a Reflect Ring; with it simple battle script, the Death Machine will likely destroy itself as soon as the first turn.
