Shadowland[]

The Death Lich is briefly accompanied by Latov in Story Mode, while in both Story Mode and Multiplay it can be fought alone. The Death Lich isn't difficult, assuming the player can react to and dodge its attacks. Up close, it has a regular swipe attack and an attack that can inflict Doom on those damaged by it. Staying close and attacking it while it's using this attack is optimal to defeating it, and even more optimal to render it non-transparent through using a Cure spell, Clear spell, Potion, or Ether near or on the boss.

The dangerous thing about the Death Lich, aside from it inflicting Doom, is when the player is not close to it, it is capable of casting Quake, Gravity, and Bio at an alarming rate, oftentimes having the target ring directly on the player within a second. The player should keep watch for the target ring, then move out of the way immediately.

The Death Lich's weak point is located on the front of the Death Lich, near the head. Holy-elemental attacks also deal extra damage to it.

Rela Cyel[]

The second boss fight with the Death Lich is in Rebena Te Ra. The Death Lich is accompanied by its two arms. The party also accompanied during this battle by either Chelinka or Princess Tilika standing at the sideline.

The battle with Death Lich is much harder, as its two hands are assisting it in combat. If its hands detach from its body, quickly kill both of them off, as they will attack with a mild-damaging laser beam.

In the battle, either Chelinka or Princess Tilika will stand on the north end of the battlefield assisting with their magic. If they cast a spell on their own, it will only do 1 - 10 damage, but if the player puts a spell(s) over it, the damage of the spell cast will increase dramatically. Group heal is also stronger when overlapped with either Chelinka's or Tilika's magic. Continue spamming the Lich with physical attacks and it will fall.

As with the previous fight, Death Lich is weak to Holy-elemental attacks.

Etymology[]

In fantasy fiction, a lich is a type of undead creature. Often such a creature is the result of a transformation, as a powerful magician or king striving for eternal life uses spells or rituals to bind his intellect to his animated corpse and thereby achieve a form of immortality.
