Battle
It is highly recommended to defeat them quickly, as they have access to high-level Magic such as Flare and Kill (although they rarely use their spells). Strong physical attacks are more than enough to defeat them, but using magic-using items such as Mage's Staff will also help a great deal in disposing them.
