Cult of Kefka
From Final Fantasy Wiki
The Cult of Kefka is an organization from the game Final Fantasy VI. It was created by those fearing the power of Kefka after he gained control of the world. The Cult have built a tower in the center of the risen Serpent Trench, where they placed numerous treasures of Kefka, including the coveted Soul of Thamasa. The treasures are guarded from thieves by strong monsters and security measures, including allowing only magic to be used within the structure. The top of the tower is guarded by the powerful Magic Master.
The Cult of Kefka's members are said to have given their very souls to Kefka, and spend all their time mindlessly walking around thinking about him. Strago Magus became a member of the Cult through unrevealed circumstances, although it is likely because he thought Relm Arrowny had died after the disaster. He was restored to his right mind when his granddaughter called out his name.
According to a Figaro guard in the Game Boy Advance version, some members of the Cult insist on spelling Kefka's name with Cs instead of Ks. This might be reference to the fact that his original Japanese name was Cefca.
