Template:Sideicon The Crawler, also known as the CRAWL in the Nintendo Entertainment System version, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy.
Stats
Battle
It is fairly rare, appearing only in big groups alongside other similar monsters in Marsh Cave. They can only be found in Basements One and Two, and the pursuit for them may be something of an annoyance for players who want to complete the Bestiary in the Advance and Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary versions of the game.
It has a low Attack stat, but its attacks have a high chance of causing Paralysis and it gets a staggering number of attacks - it can easily hit upwards of eight times in one attack action. This makes them a particular menace in "classic" versions of the game, due to the more limited healing options available and the tendency of multiple Crawlers to shut down the player's offense and ability to kill them quickly.
