Cottage
Talk3this wiki
Added by EspritduoThe Cottage (コテージ, Kotēji?), also known as the Cabin or House, is a recurring item throughout the series. It completely restores the HP and MP of the active party. It can only be used on the World Map and at Save Points. It works much like the Tent, and in the games they both appear, the Cottage is the more effective item. In Final Fantasy VIII, the Cottage can also heal all Guardian Forces at once.
The Cottage item has been phased out since Final Fantasy X, due to save points having the added effect of completely healing the party.

Cottage, called House in the game, is bugged in the original NES version of the game; If a player were to use the House, and then save the game, the game will not recharge any spells due to a bug. This is simply solved by using a Tent or Sleeping Bag to save after using the House.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy
Edit
Cottages are used in the Labyrinth mode of Dissidia 012. Upon reaching a GOAL card, the player is given an option to store any accumulated items in a cottage, which can be retrieved at a later session. Unlike tents, Cottages are placed at a randomly chosen starting point (marked on the map with a purple symbol).
Upon returning to the starting point, stored items will be retrieved upon selecting the Cottage card. Only one cottage can be placed at a time; any new cottage created at a Goal will replace the old one. Placing a cottage will not affect any existing tent.
