Coral Fragment (サンゴのかけら, Sango no Kakera?), also known as Coral and Coral Fragments, is a recurring item in the series. It is most commonly used in creating equipment.

Coral is a key item found in Ebot's Rock, used in feeding the talking chest. After feeding the chest enough Coral, it will allow the player to pass to fight Hidon.

Final Fantasy VIIIEdit

VIII Coral Fragment is an item that teaches Quistis the Blue Magic Electrocute. It can be obtained either from winning it from a level 1-19 Blitz, level 1-29 Cockatrice, or level 1-29 Creeps, stealing it from a level 1-29 Creeps, or Card Modding one Creeps card for one Coral Fragment. Coral Fragment can also be refined into 20 Thundara spells.
