Convert

Convert is a job ability exclusive to Red Mages when they reach level 40 in Final Fantasy XI. Convert, when activated, will instantly switch the Red Mage's HP and MP amounts. Effectively, this allows the Red Mage to renew his entire MP bar instantly, though it means that in those cases he would end up with very little HP. Therein lies the danger for a Red Mage. In battle, this ability does create a moderate amount of enmity, so a Red Mage could gain unwanted attention with little to no HP to survive a hit with, but more commonly they are killed by an area of effect attack that hits the whole party.
