"Clash on the Big Bridge", also known as "Battle on the Big Bridge", is the official name of Gilgamesh's theme. It first appears in Final Fantasy V, and is known in the Final Fantasy V: Original Sound Version as ビッグブリッヂの死闘 (Biggu Burijji no Shitō), lit. "Battle to the Death on the Big Bridge". Since its original appearance, it has been a fan favorite and was remade into different versions.

A remix in the 20th Anniversary Edition when fighting Gilgamesh in the Lifespring Grotto.

The theme's first appearance, it is played during the party's trek across the Big Bridge from Castle Exdeath, when they were forced to fight Gilgamesh.

Due to Gilgamesh's appearance in Final Fantasy XII, another version titled "Clash on the Big Bridge ~FFXII Version~" was included in the game's soundtrack, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto.

A remix of this song can be chosen to be heard on any common battle, and may be heard whenever a story battle occurs in the Interdimensional Castle, or be fought against Bartz or Exdeath.

The prominence of this battle track continues with its use as the final battle theme for Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon titled "Raffaello Battle", rearranged by Yuzo Takahashi.
