Template:Sideicon Template:Enemy Chonchon is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII. It is found in the Taejin's Tower and Oerba as a normal enemy. In Taejin's Tower, it usually fights in swarms. In Oerba, it fights alongside with a few Seekers. Its inflicts Poison and Pain. A swarm of Chonchon also appear in Mission 26, fighting alongside with the Penanggalan.

Etymology
The Chonchon is winged bird from Mapuche mythology. Mapuche sorcerers would transform themselves into these creatures. These Chonchons would be considered as an omen of bad luck, and would be the form that these sorcerers would use for their wicked activities.
