Cerberi surround Noctis in Omen.
Cerberus is a creature in the Final Fantasy XV Universe that appears in Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and Omen. It is a colossal three-headed canine daemon. They are black with glowing eyes and claws, and they breathe fire. They have scaly bodies with long dragon-like tails.
In Kingsglaive, Nyx Ulric fights them in the outlands of Lucis. In Omen, Noctis Lucis Caelum becomes surrounded by them in his nightmare. A Cerberus boss appeared for footage of Final Fantasy XV shown at the Game Developers' Conference in March 2017. Cerberus here is on level 47 and is fought in Lestallum. A Cerberus boss is added to the Royal Edition and PC versions of Final Fantasy XV, now fought in the expanded Insomnia ruins. Cor Leonis appears to shield Noctis from the Cerberus's attack. Trivia
- The exclusive sniper rifle for Noctis in Final Fantasy XV is called Cerberus, possibly as an allusion to the creature as well as Vincent Valentine's signature weapon.
- Cerberus resembles the Cerberus Guardian Force from Final Fantasy VIII.
