Cannoneers support the front line with fire from their hand-cannons.
The Cannoneer is a bangaa-exclusive job in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. Specialists of distance attacks, they can inflict massive damage to far-off enemies and adjust the range, strength, attack frequency, and accuracy of their cannons in the battlefield. Their Ether Shell is invaluable for any Spellcasting unit, restoring 60 MP from a distance, enough to cast almost any spell (including the potent Ultima abilities), even if the unit is using Turbo MP.
The Cannoneer is the only non-moogle gunner class. It mirrors the moogle Flintlock class, only special skills (barring shell moves) modify the bangaa's regular attack, and they do not need to use Prime to use their skills. Its stats leave much to be desired, as most are average or below.

Cannoneer is a term for an artillery gunner, first recorded in the 16th century. Current title is "cannon crewmember," shortened to "cannoneer." Modern cannoneers support infantry units in training and in battlefield are an integral part of combat operations ranging from urban to jungle terrains.
