Cagnazzo, originally known as Kainazzo, is a storyline boss in Final Fantasy IV. A wicked being known as The Drowned King, he appears as one of Golbez's Archfiends.

In the first fight his water shield can be destroyed by casting spells he is weak against. Tellah can cast Thundaga and Palom can cast Thundara for massive damage, as Cagnazzo is weak to Lightning. However, if too much damage is inflicted, he will withdraw into his shell and will begin to heal himself, use the best attacks you got to finish him quickly. Cecil should keep a Zeus's Wrath in case Cagnazzo starts to use Tsunami, as it is faster then a Thunder Spell and more powerful.

In the DS version the battle is essentially the same, however Cagnazzo's weakness changes dependent on whether he his going to use Tsunami or not. When he is surrounded by water, Ice attacks will heal him and Thunder attacks will be more effective. Thunder spells or items such as Zeus's Wrath will also destroy the barrier. When he is not surrounded by water he is weak to Ice instead. When he withdraws into his shell, he will heal himself occasionally, but retains his weaknesses.

Cagnazzo will attempt to counter with Hold when hit with a physical attack. Also, Tsunami is more dangerous than before, as it can inflict Instant Death.
