Cactuar is an enemy that appears in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It can be fought in the Dead Dunes desert. They can be difficult to spawn if the player doesn't know where to look. The easiest way to encounter these enemies is to hunt for them in the Oasis Lighthouse area. The fleet-footed Cactuars spawn frequently there and can be cornered with relative ease in its close confines.

Etymology Edit

Sabotender (サボテンダー, Sabotendā?) is derived from mixing the Japanese word for cactus (サボテン, saboten?) and the English word "pretender" (プリテンダー, puritendā?).
