Bump of Chicken is a popular Rock group from Sakura, Chiba, Japan that was founded in 1994. Their nonsensical name is a mistranslation of the intended English phrase "Cowards strike back". The band consists of Motō Fujiwara, Hiroaki Masukawa, Yoshifumi Naoi, and Hideo Masu. The band's songs are frequently used in Japanese video games, movies, and television shows.

They wrote the song "Zero" for Final Fantasy Type-0 and released it as their 21st single.
