Break MP Limit

Break MP Limit is a support ability that allows characters' MP to go beyond the 999 limit, which was common in the early generation Final Fantasy games.

Zack gains this ability when equipped with the Genji Armor or with the Gold Hairpin. He could also break his max MP limit right from the start of the game with a strong enough Limit Break or Power Surges from said Limit Break.

This ability can be customized onto any piece of armor by using the Three Stars item.

Only the Special Dresspheres have Break MP Limit as a job ability, after the acquisition of certain Key Items.
