Brandt Nature

Brandt's adventure begins on his fourteenth birthday, the time when it is custom for males to present themselves to King Horne to become a man. At Horne Castle Brandt is ordered to go find Princess Aire and save her from the Witch of the North, who is keeping the princess captive in her mansion. Brandt ventures to the Northern Caves and is attacked by a Minotaur. He is saved by Jusqua who joins Brandt and they continue their quest.

Brandt and Jusqua arrive at the witch's manor, and find Aire's bodyguard Yunita, who joins them. At the final floor of the manor Brandt and the others defeat the witch and save Princess Aire. Brandt and the others return to Horne only to find that everyone has been turned to stone. The party splits and Brandt and Yunita decide to head to Guera to find a way to save Horne.

Order-From-King-Horne

Brandt and Yunita get lost on the deserts of Guera but end up meeting Krinjh. Krinjh explains that only those with Merkmal may enter the Kingdom of Guera and takes Brandt and Yunita to the Moonlight Tower where they get the Merkmal. After entering Guera, Brandt decides to help the king get rid of a monster problem in the desert in order to save Horne. Brandt goes to the Quicksand Castle with Yunita and Krinjh, but they are attack by Sand Devil.

After defeating the Sand Devil, she is revealed to be Ariadne. Ariadne and Krinjh disappear together. After returning to Guera, the king tells Brandt and Yunita to venture to Arbor for a cure. That night Brandt sneaks out of the inn and meets a cat, which is actually Aire who has been transformed. The cat is holding a map of the world, and unaware of the cat's true identity, Brandt decides to make use of it and let the cat tag along with him. Brandt decides to leave Yunita behind and head out to Arbor on his own.

A curse placed around Arbor protects the nation from humans, and upon entering the great tree Brandt is turned into plant. It is up to Aire to save him, as she was protected from the curse after having been turned into a cat. After Aire and Torte obtain the animal staff, Brandt is released from his vegetative state and turned into a dog. Brandt and Aire go to see Queen Arbor and agree to help them calm down the rampaging Arboroc, in exchange for healing them of their animal states. Brandt and the others make their way through the Great Tree and figure out that Arboroc is possessed and must be defeated before causing further harm to Arbor. Defeating Arboroc snaps him out of his possession and Queen Arbor thanks them by turning the Animal Staff into the Transformation Staff, which allows Brandt and Aire to shift between animal or human form at will. Brandt and Aire decide to head out to Spelvia in figuring that the hero Rolan may have a cure for Horne.

Heroes action

When attempting to jump unto the floating city from the great tree, Aire makes the jump but Brandt falls. He decides to follow Aire by another route and heads to the western ice caverns where he meets Jusqua and saves him from the sorcerer's puppet. The two eventually arrive in the snowy town of Invidia where they meet a young girl named Rekoteh and decide to hatch the dragon egg in the center of the town. After obtaining the Dragon's Harp and hatching the dragon's egg, Brandt and the others fly to Spelvia on the dragon.

When they arrive in Spelvia, Brandt and Jusqua are reunited with Aire and Yunita. Brandt and the others arrive in Rolan's chamber and find him possessed by hatred and distrust over mankind, which lets the darkness of the world feed on his negative emotions. Brandt and the others are forced to defeat Rolan in battle, but the make a grave mistake in doing this. The darkness that was harbored within Rolan is released upon the world and Brandt and the others are sent back in time to a world where Chaos and his minions wish to overtake the world and flood it completely with darkness. In order to stop this Brandt and the others must collect the legendary weapons of light.

Having been sent back in time the heroes can use their knowledge of future events to correct many mistakes that were made in their past, and in doing so also manage to cancel the petrifying curse from ever befalling on Horne. After collecting the legendary weapons, Brandt goes with the others into the Star Chamber and to defeat the dark lord Chaos. Defeating Chaos eradicates the source of darkness that was flooding the world and the heroes are sent back to their own time, only the world they arrive in is greatly improved because of all the changes they did in the past, and Horne is no longer petrified.

Brandt returns to Horne with the others and Aire speaks with the King. The King wants Aire to stay in the castle, but Aire refuses, having realized that her true calling is to continue protecting the world as a Hero of Light. Brandt leaves the castle with the group, knowing that they are destined to protect their world.

Brandt is most designated to be the physical damage dealer. He has the highest Strength and HP growth of the group, making him an excellent choice for crowns that deal damage with physical attacks, such as the Hero and Ninja. He is the worst choice for dealing damage with magic, due to his low Intellect, but he functions reasonably well when assigned to healing and is best equipped with low tier White Magic like Cure.
