The Bonus is a special feature in the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy VI. Being the first game to introduce bonus content, with later games such as the Origins version of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, and later followed by other games, it introduced the first in-game Bestiary in the series, as well as information on Espers, special illustrations, and others. It could be accessed upon starting the game, but additional content had to be unlocked by beating the game.
Upon first playing the game, or until before beating the game, only the World of Balance bestiary is available to view. After completing the game, the World of Ruin's section becomes available for viewing. The Bestiary included the various statistics of the enemies, as well as special information available by pressing the while viewing the statistics.
