Retaliates with Self-Destruct against whoever attacks it a third time. Use NulBlaze if you can't defeat it before then. Vulnerable to ice, so use Blizzard. Kimahri can learn Self-Destruct.
Later in the game, the Bomb appears in Home, summoned by the Guado Guardians; the Grenade can be found on Mt. Gagazet and the Puroboros in the Omega Ruins. Catching all these fiends will breed the Bomb King in the Monster Arena.
Like its predecessors from earlier games, after each attack Bomb will grow larger in size and after the third growth (if it was not defeated), it will explode above a random party member, causing 600 damage (Mi'ihen version) and 1000 damage (Home version). If Kimahri uses Lancet, he can learn his Ronso Rage skill, Self-Destruct.
Bombs will drop armor with Fire Ward and weapons with Firestrike. Weapons dropped by a Bomb have a unique trait not found in any other weapons (except drops from other Bomb-type enemies), in that they has a Damage Constant of 18, while any otherwise-identical weapon not obtained from a Bomb has a Damage Constant of 16. This is also true for weapons from Grenade and Puroboros, but not for Bomb King.
In the game's INT/PAL/HD versions they will also drop weapons with the Distill Power ability.
All of Bomb's attacks are Fire-elemental, even its physical attack, so using NulBlaze or equipping armor that reduces fire damage will be useful.
Bomb appears with a Fire-elemental card.
Bomb appears on a Triple Triad card in the version available via Final Fantasy Portal App.
