The Blue Mage is a job in Final Fantasy V, which is given to you after the Wind Crystal shatters.

Blue Mages have a vaguely "swashbuckler" look in their appearance. Most of the costume is blue, with a cape and shoulder pads, a domino mask, and for Lenna and Krile, a feathered cap.

Its innate ability, Learning, is what makes the Blue Mage a Blue Mage. If you are going to go hunting for Blue Magic, remember to have a Beastmaster with you. The Blue Mage need not live through the attack to learn it, so long as another member of the party finishes the battle alive.
