Blazin' Caravans
From Final Fantasy Wiki
Blazin' Caravans is an exciting racing game consisting of 3 or 5 laps per round, found in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. The goal is, of course, to finish first. There can be up to 4 competitors per race, each using his or her own Game Boy Advance console. A single player can race against 3 CPU opponents.
Before each race, the player can choose one of four wagons to race with. Each one has different attributes, ranging from top speed, acceleration, and handling.
This mini-game is only availiable in multiplayer mode, as it takes place on the Game Boy Advance.
To access this mini-game, the player must first fulfil the following conditions:
-Obtain a stamp card by talking to a moogle in its den.
-Collect all mog stamps in a set of 1, 2 or 3.
-Talk to one of the moogles that gave you a mog stamp of which the player has completed a matching set, and select "Let me play the minigame."
As there are 9 sets of mog stamps, it is possible to participate in 9 different courses depending on which moogle you talk to. Here is a complete list:
-Plains Course 1-3
-Desert Course 1 -3
-Beach Course 1-3
[edit] Tips
There is a very easy way to start playing the mini-game without collecting a lot of stamps: visit the Marr's Pass moogle's den and ask the moogle to give you his stamp. This specific stamp is unique in the it enables the player to start the mini-game immediately: to do so, all that is needed is to talk to the moogle one more time and ask to play.
Before starting a race, check up on the character's food tastes via the Favourites menu. Then, during a race, try to collect your character's favourite food as often as possible to earn a boost. However, collecting food that your character doesn't like will slow them down. Picking up food they only slightly like will have no effect either way.
In just the same way that food is collected, magicite can be picked up during a race. Once a piece is collected, press the L Button to fire it. Magicite attacks can be particularly potent when used on a group of rivals, because even if only one target is hit, all the vehicles behind it may be slowed down.
