Big Bridge

The Big Bridge (ビッグブリッジ Biggu Burijji) is a location in Final Fantasy V. It appears only on the Alien and Merged Worlds, although it is only accessibe in the Alien World, as it serves as a mere passage between the mainland and the Solitary Temple island.

After Galuf breaks his friends out of Castle Exdeath, they have to cross the Big Bridge to get away from Exdeath. The Bridge is filled with all sorts of monsters, and halfway, Gilgamesh stops them in their tracks. In the battle, Gilgamesh casts support spells on himself as a last resort, but loses. He then runs off.
After the skirmish on the Big Bridge, its existence no longer serves any purpose, and therefore it no longer has any enemies on it, until World 3, when it appears right where the Island Shrine is, allowing the party to enter.
The Big Bridge is the titular location in the name of Gilgamesh's theme, "Clash on the Big Bridge".
